Why we built MuseWave

Most of the world's greatest music — Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, centuries of folk song from every culture — is legally in the public domain. Yet it remains hidden behind paywalls, inaccessible to students, creators, and curious listeners worldwide.

We use MIDI rendering and expert sound design to bring these works to life with modern audio quality, then publish them alongside our own original compositions and carefully curated world folk music.

Our goal is simple: make the entire human musical heritage available to anyone with an internet connection, while building a sustainable platform that rewards creators and supports continued production.

Our journey

How we got here

2023

The idea takes shape

Frustrated by the inaccessibility of high-quality public domain music, our founder begins building a MIDI rendering pipeline capable of producing studio-quality audio from classical scores.

Early 2024

First 100 tracks rendered

The pipeline is refined. Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin form the first catalog of 100 tracks, all rendered at 320 kbps and FLAC quality. The musical foundation is set.

Late 2024

World folk expansion

The catalog expands beyond Western classical music. Celtic, Flamenco, Japanese traditional, Chinese folk, and Latin American music are added, representing a true global musical library.

2025

MuseWave launches publicly

music.musewave.store goes live with 800+ tracks, 9 interface languages, Stripe-powered subscriptions, and Cloudflare R2-backed global audio delivery. The world can now listen.

2026 & beyond

Growing with our community

We're building an iOS and Android app, an AI-powered mood-based playlist generator, and partnerships with music schools and libraries to make MuseWave the definitive home for public domain and original music.

Every technical decision is made with sound quality and global accessibility in mind.

MIDI Rendering Pipeline

We render MIDI scores using professional-grade virtual instruments and careful sound design to produce recordings that honour the composer's intent with modern audio fidelity.

Cloudflare R2 + CDN

All audio files are stored in Cloudflare R2 and delivered through Cloudflare's global CDN. Zero egress fees mean we can afford to stream to listeners worldwide without throttling.

Secure Payments via Stripe

Subscriptions and payments are processed entirely by Stripe — one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. We never store card details. PCI compliance is handled automatically.
